What is UpSmash

UpSmash is a project dedicated to bringing you the best stats possible from Super Smash Bros Melee. This includes a variety of sources, including Slippi ranked data, Slippi files, and comparisons to the broader community.

The project currently has a website and a companion desktop app. You can upload slippi files either through the upload area on the home page or by using the desktop app. If you are using the desktop app, then simply select your slippi folder and the app will work in the background to upload your slippi files. It will also upload new files when they appear. In addition to that, the desktop app will track when you finish a ranked game and refresh your rating every time you finish a ranked set. This allows you to keep track of your rating changes after every win or loss.

Who works on UpSmash

Chris Schmitt

Has been a member of the Melee community since 2015. Been working on passion projects around Melee since 2018 and started working on a Slippi file database in late-2022.

Ryan Yeung

A newer member of the community, Ryan has been instrumental the start of UpSmash, including planning, working on desktop app development, and outreach.
